Director – EMBA Europe, University of Pittsburgh
Our partner, the University of Pittsburgh seeks a highly motivated, entrepreneurial individual to direct our EMBA C. Europe program.
University of Pittsburgh’s Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business offers its EMBA Worldwide program in three regions of the world – N. America (Pittsburgh), S. America (Sao Paulo), and Europe (Prague).
The Executive MBA program in Pittsburgh, launched in 1972, is the second oldest in the world, and is today one of the most innovative. Designed for experienced professionals with an average of 14 years of professional experience, our EMBA Worldwide program provides our students with a world-class MBA education and an international experience and perspective.
The primary responsibilities of the Director – EMBA C. Europe are class enrollment and program management which are supported by the following activities:
• Recruitment of a class that meets the objectives set by the Katz School pertaining to student qualifications, enrollment size, and net tuition revenue and development of corporate partnerships;
• Management of operations of the program in Europe;
• Management of the school's constituencies to include current students, alumni, and corporate stakeholders, as well as provide support and coordination to the other Katz EMBA programs;
• Budget development, coordination and execution;
• Program marketing to include the development and implementation of the marketing budget;
• Public relations and communications ;
• Assessment and planning of future activities to be conducted by the Katz School in Europe; support of the Katz School’s strategy for school and program development; and participation in school-wide activities and sharing learning with program directors worldwide.
The Director will work closely with the Assistant Dean and Executive Director of EMBA Worldwide and Katz faculty and staff. In addition to these primary responsibilities, the Director will assist with the coordination and execution of the Global Executive Forum which takes place in C. Europe.
Skills
Individual must possess 10 years professional experience (advanced degree highly favored – MBA, MS or PhD). The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, business development, negotiation and marketing skills, an international perspective, as well as excellent organizational skills and effectiveness in managing a small office. A strong network of professional contacts and knowledge of the Prague market and the surrounding region is a plus. Some local, regional and international travel is required.
